What kind of oil are you using?

 For my ADV350 I use an oil with the specification:
API SP, JASO MA2

Oil (1.5 litre) and filter changes at 5-6000km

I have been purchasing this Scooter Race oil by the carton when on sale.

Meets API SP and JASO MA2 which is higher standard than API SL and JASO MB.

JASO MA2 is performance‑oriented classification for higher stresses (e.g., frequent acceleration, hill climbs, or racing conditions). JASO MA2 is top quality for wet clutches (and yes, the ADV350 is dry clutch, but I'm buying into the fully synthetic and API SP rating).

Another oil that that has interested me is the semi synthetic Yamalube Sport Plus 10W‑40 JASO MA2 API SL (Yamaha’s own brand)

I'd consider a semi synthetic API SL and change the oil more frequently.

Currently on 3.3 sale on Lazada for THB198 per litre ((and Liquid Moly is 3x price)

Price gouging on synthetic oils since the US/Iran war has seen Liqui Moly Scooter Race increase in price to THB935/litre (from THB500/litre)

Ouch and no matter how many stickers Liqui Moly give me they can get stuffed.

Incidentally, I collect up the product stickers and take them into the mountains for the boys at this remote school, who appreciated them.

So, as I arrive at low oil stock on my parts shelf I've decided restock with (Italian) Eni i-RIDE Top Scooter T 10w40 MB @ THB373 / /litre when buying 3 litres, delivered.

Eni drops to THB265 if 12 x 1litre carton purchased, delivered. All via Shopee.

Despite being a semi synthetic Eni has an excellent high film strength (Viscosity at 100⁰C 14.4 mm²/s) and excellent high flash point (230⁰C). That's actually a higher film strength than fully synthetic Liqui Moly Scooter Race (Viscosity at 100⁰C 13.5 mm²/s).

So, I'm satisfied it will be suitable for demanding mountainous riding in Northern Thailand.

I'll also consider reducing the oil change intervals from 5000-6000 (Liqui Moly) to 4000-5000 (Eni) as I scored some excellent Malossi Red Chilli oil filters in a flash sale which will help offset more frequent oil change costs.
