All of our bikes of 500cc and over are fitted with genuine Pirelli Tyres (Scorpion Trail 2 and Angel GT and Rosso 2), D.I.D X ring Gold chains(genuine Japanese imports) and OEM genuine brake pads. We are fitting these items to give more confidence to our customers

Pop has 5 new 2017 Suzuki Vstrom 650s for rent

The rental price is yet to be confirmed.
Pop also says he has ordered 30 new Vstroms, so that's looking good for high season.

Mr Mechanic also has the Honda CRF 250 Rally for rent @ 800 baht a day = top value.

TBB (Tony Big Bikes) has Enfield (and classic bike) tours they have set up, but the bikes arent available for rent.

Is it possible to include in the reviews what insurance is included.

Looking at the details from Mr Mechanic, it includes only damage to the bike and renter, nothing for 3rd party property and very limited medical.

Checking travel insurance policies, they don't cover it either.

Do any of the shops cover 3rd party property and medical?

Hi David. I understand you’ll delete some of this to keep this thread tidy, but it might be useful to include somewhere.

I had a look at the details on Mr Mechanic's site. Their policy only covers damage to their bike, and a small amount of your medical costs. They provide no coverage for 3rd party property, and no 3rd party medical (although I understand that is included in bike registration/tax). C&P have only the included insurance, not sure what the other shops include, so I thought, where they offer insurance it would be good to detail that in the shop reviews.

Only about 50% of the travel insurance policies in Australia cover you for injury if you are on a bike, the ones that do only over you if you are licenced in Australia. All but one policy I have read excludes 3rd party liability (property or medical) if you are in control of something motorised (i.e. bike, car, jetski). The assumption is that coverage would be included in the insurance from the rental company, which isn't the case for bike in Thailand.

The only Travel Insurance Policy I have found that doesn't exclude motorised vehicle is from BUPA (although that is when I stopped looking further).

But the shop recommendations basically remain the same.

Hi,

I was contacting all the shops in CNX to rent a 300cc bike to ride north for a few days. Toon seemed to have a decent bike with good price. I did search on them and came up with some negative reviews after 2019. Wonder if you had any positive feedback from them or if you think I should focus on one of the others.
