Up For A Ride - Who's Coming?

Tuesday the 6th of July, I'll be starting from the KAFE and head to the 1095. (I bought the map but am not sure I'll follow the loop as i have a knack of navigating badly. Last night i was exploring Chiang Mai in search of a petrol station )

i'll be bimbling along, and return 2 days later to CNX.

Doing the MHS loop clockwise, i leave Thailand in 10 days so will be leaving within the week.

Yes of course, my plans were not concrete until yesterday so i was only giving rough dates.

I'm actually leaving tomorrow morning, should take anywhere between 4-6 days with stop offs in the usual places (Pai, Mae Hong Son etc.)

Not its deff not a day trip, im not sure its possible :lol:

Possible and fun on what ever you ride, but certainly many things on the route spend a week or more nicely. Just hired a sonic for the next month ... will do the Samoeng loop Saturday and then most likely Chiang Rai - Nan, maybe Mekong roads to Loei over the coming weeks ... company welcome.

Would like to invite everyone to ride with us Wednesday morning, November 3rd, before the GT Rider dinner.

Meet at Miguel's Nong Hoi; happy to provide a breakie burrito to all riders joining the ride! - Just let me know who's in for a free breakfast and coffee.

8m for coffee and breakfast, 9 am for ride - always happy to leave earlier if that's the popular opinion.

Colin, Captain Slash returns, and was thinking a good ride out to Doi Inthanon via the back way and continuing onto Mae Cheam for Lunch. We can either retrace our steps home or take the quicker route of the 1009 to the 108 back to Chiang Mai. The later may be best to ensure everyone has a chance to freshen up before the GT Rider dinner.

All bikes welcome!

Complications have arose and I'll will not be able to get to Miguel's Nong Hoi till 8:30.

I will provide coffee - but no one said they wanted a free breakfast. Maybe next time, breakfast burritos, or I might be inclined to make an omelet.

SSR Hooligans are blasting off from Bangkok tomorrow for a weeklong tour and we'd love to see any friends who would like to join us for rides, beers, etc!

Tomorrow we'll do BKK-Loei, meeting Sarge at the King's Hotel.

next day Loei to Nan, staying at the Eurngkum (sp?),

then... not quite sure! Kind of nice to go on a ride with no destination. :happy1:

Chances are we might spend a night in Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Song or Mae Sot, etc. :lolno:

Thanks! What a beautiful day for a ride! Left Bangkok in the dark at 0515 and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise reflecting off the flooded fields in Prachinburi.

Blasted up the 21 and reached Khao Kho, Petchabun just after noon for lunch at a beautiful resort-

Then north on the 203 to Dan Sai and finally Loei where we checked in to the King Hotel, caught up with Sarge from Surin and enjoyed a fantastic meal at Chris's Restaurant.

We're all beat from a long day and going to bed early tonight. Tomorrow we continue to Nan!
