Dont forget to add the Doi Resort on your stop off Samoeng loop visits. Its almost a compulsary coffee pit stop imo! Love The Doi, and most often the view consists of Mahuts on elephants accompanied by their young calves strolling past at some point, or in the field area opposite.
Really lovely staff, good food, wicked cakes (as Thai cakes go
) and nice coffee. Good place to wind down.
Which begs the question really..why has the Samoeng main view never had a coffee shop set up close by/around the corner from it? Some rule preventing? ALways wondered that as seems like the perfect place for one. Anyway, recommending The Doi.

Moto-Rex, I love this about Samoeng. That you can see so many elephants, and baby elephants too.
No matter how often I see them, I still am in awe.
I did get a short video once of a small accident in Samoeng, and an elephant family passing the truck.
No one hurt, thankfully. Just a minor incident.

Anew very friendly restaurant opened just at the start of the Samoeng loop coming from Hang Dong.
