RIDING ON THE DEEP SOUTH

Greetings to all fellow motorcyclists. I need your help regarding road information and, above all, safety.

I am planning a trip that I have wanted to do for many years: crossing the entire south of Thailand, starting from the Surat Thani coast, heading down to the border areas, reaching Yala and Betong, and then riding back up on the other side to Phuket.

I have read about potentially dangerous situations in some areas and regions. My question is: is traveling in the deep south really that dangerous?

And which roads are the best to ride on a touring motorcycle?

Thank you in advance for any tips and advice you can share.

Ciao & Grazie

Difficult have updates information
2 years I don’t go there
The area with more problem is always Naratiwat Yala
Good sense travel in a day time stop less as possible near police or in a public place like market sleep in small hotel and be careful stop in a traffic light at this province
My experience was in many years 2 hotel I was sleeping border Naratiwat and hat yai get bomb after I stay.
But this happen many years ago already.
No updates experience also if in a recent year I make all coast of south 2020 and 2023
