Hi,
during my MHS loop trip I stayed in Khun Yuam at Ban Farang Guesthouse. I got the contact of the GTR MHS loop map.
I guess the Agoda rating would be around 5-6 (of 10).
The Ban Farang Guesthouse is nested close to everything in Khun Yuam (which is not a lot, like you might expect…). It´s quite a nice location.
The stuff had its moments – sometimes really nice, sometimes rather strange (my booking-mail was never answered, so call in advance if you wanna book a room!)…
I paid THB 600 for an Economic room with breaky (Khao Thom & Coffee), which is pretty steep, compared with all other hotels / guesthouses I stayed at during my trip.
The bathroom needed a scrub (found a nudibranch in the basin) and the walls are paper-thin – hence I had to follow my neighbor’s communications (luckily I always ride with earplugs…)…
The food was not too bad.
On the upside there were a lot of bikers, which makes it a very interesting and not boring stay…
However, next time I´ll try something else.
Cheers,
Martin
