tats what we queried about...the hotel staff to us that the thai govt might release the water in the neaby dam if the level is at a danger level thus....it will hit hatyai...thats what the sand bags in the photos...hotel basement...7-11s all blocked with them and 70-80% shops are closed on a sat night...new experience indeed.
