CHIANG DAO......
I do the daily groceries now nearly all by myself and on me way back home i use various coffeestalls.
Will now try to post any stall/shop i visited where i got a good cappu/espresso/vienna or mocca.
This one between Top Charoen and Mini BigC.

Another of my coffeestops before lunch:

They not only offer coffee and tea but see for yourself....., they also offer some older rental bikes and tours in/around Chiang Dao even if the building opposite is closed, it's the same owner as Tae's coffee shop. Owner is also the 'Poo Yai Bahn' there.

Yes i like these much more than the posh HISO places where coffee looks like the place and tastes like water that is released from the sink.......
Best evening place to hang out for me was the iconic but unfortunately burnt down CROSSROADS in MHS, miss that one. Wonder what Moo is doing right now.

If you are on Route 5047, a few km south of Doi Chang at 19.78773,99.55680 is the U Garden Cafe. The view is great, the coffee is good, and Espresso Mocha costs 70B. The food is not good. The pork in the fried rice was mostly inedible gristle, the toughest I've ever eaten. U Garden opened in 2020, during Covid, the barista told me in English. The chair legs are only a foot high, for Instagram, hobbits, midgets, and Hi-So. Go for the view, avoid the food, enjoy the coffee, and watch fashionable people taking for selfies.

U Garden is located across the road from a place called Abonzo Coffee, which had laundry drying in the sun and the letter A missing from their sign, making it Bonzo Coffee. According to Google, Abonzo Paradise is about 100m behind it, up a steep driveway.

Oh i have seen that derelict place on me way down to Mae Suay last time i passed and just wondered what it was. Will definetely try the coffeshop you mentioned. Yep, and the BKK selfie crowds are at it again, saw them in the thirties today in the middle of Chiang Dao's ringroad taking photos of themselves in the middle of the highway. Must me some new incureable disease but hopefully Darwin will prove himself right again......
