A small cafe "Skyview Sakiang" with an amazing view, located high in the mountains about 40 minutes north of Bo Kluea near Ban Piang So. They offer a few varieties of coffee, tea, and juice, as well as a small selection of noodles which I found tasty. You can also buy local mulberry juice, jam, and wine here. However, the main reason to visit is the astonishing view.
The road is not in great condition (at least it wasn't in Feb and Sept 2025), but it is manageable. It is probably not recommended for novice riders due to the concrete two-track segments.
There are two ways to get there:
1. From the Ban Sa Chuk healthcare center (from the south). It is a concrete two-track road that offers a cool view on the way down.
2. From the Piangso Sky Road viewpoint (from the north). This is a very steep and twisty concrete road, can not recommended.
Both routes lead to Ban Sakiang. Please be very careful here after it rains. The road is steep, with polished gravel embedded in the concrete and moss on the sides, making it very slippery. On some sections, you won't be able to stop and hold your bike using only the front brake, you will simply slide down.
At the end of the village, you will first see an OTOP shop. Keep going, as that is not your final destination.
Go straight and head down toward the football field.
And here is the entrance
