Which Camera for Touring by Bike?

I had the TG-810 and now I am on the TG-1. Not sure If I will spend more money on Olympus unless TG-4 has improved significantly.
Main issue is that when you change settings in any of the modes except C1 and C2, they return to standard setting when you switch the camera on again.
The 'sport' function would be great for bush whacking if you could set the flash to off and it would stay of until I switched it back on.
As rainy season approach I will dust of the EOS 7D.
However, as the pros says. The best camera is the one you bring along.

I have stopped using the GPS as it eats batteries. I use the GPX file from my GPS to geotag picture's.

Yes.. I had the TG-810 too. Absolutely terrible.
I was never going to buy another Olympus point and shot again.

Used it twice and gave it away.. washed out, over exposed pictures.
You would be lucky to get 1 in 6 pictures that came out decent.

A friend has the current model I am using and read some good reviews.
The lens is suppose to be good for a point and shot.

Decided on buying a cheaper Samsung A9 and then put the balance towards a camera with WIFI.
So no more destroying my phone on rides..
Take all the pics I want then WIFI them over to the phone with the App...

Works a treat..

Been using the Olympus E-PL6 for a few years now - 4/3 format. Came from Japan with 2 lenses. Takes great pics, small, light. Bought a Chinese charger with 2 extra batteries and a 12V charger adapter. Lives in my top box in a padded case. Never an issue.

I’ve been using the Fiji XP150 which is a very robust, point and shoot camera, that comes with a lot of features if you want to use them. I reckon it takes pretty good photos.

Its dust/water/shock/freeze proof and is encased in very strong aluminium.

Certainly worth having a look at if you’re in the market for this type of camera.

Nikon AW 1 waterproof and shock proof. Detachable lens. Though no longer waterproof if you use the standard nikon lens. Mine is black fits nicely while riding

When on day rides bush whacking....
The olympus tough is a winner.
Had the earlier generation and was terrible.
They got it right with this one . Fits nicely in my enduro pants .
