What's riding northern Vietnam like during May?

Will be arriving in Vietnam May 11th by Honda Win @ Tay Trang border crossing from Laos. I'd love to see the north of Vietnam, Sapa region in particular, but I've heard mixed reviews about the weather. Would love some advice from a rider? Is it advis
