One upon a time (2008) in Fang, there was a really cool, funky cowboy restaurant called Uncle Jack's.

Uncle Jack & his wife, Lady Jane, were fabulous hosts and a super delightful couple to hang out with.

They served cheap steaks, fish and chips, plus a few other fast farang dishes.

Located in the main street at the North end of Fang city, in their day Uncle Jack's was the place to go in Fang, for something different.

A significant rent issue saw Uncle Jack's move shop to their house at the time, on the western bypass in Fang.

Not long after Uncle Jack lost a 16-year court case over a bureaucratic issue from when he was the sheriff of Fang.

He subsequently spent several years in jail at Mae Taeng.

Lady Jane moved to Mae Taeng & opened a restaurant at Mae Cho, called "Waiting For You," to await Uncle Jack's return.

As time went by, Lady Jane moved on & when Uncle Jack was released, he was a single man again.

He found a new wife from Fang and moved to Tha Ton, to set up an "Uncle Jack's" but named as Steak Boran Return.

Steve Merchant and I had the pleasure to visit Uncle Jack at his new premises, immediately north of Tha Ton.

If you ever went to Uncle Jack's Hideaway, he would certainly love to see any old customers again.

Swing on by for some good value for money cheap farang eats.
