Hi All, ive been back a few weeks from a fantastic tour starting in Thailand, crossing Laos, and then 3 x weeks touring China, then return, absolutely amazing tour

There was 11 riders from Thailand on an assortment of different bikes, all our personal bikes......................and 1 hire bike from China to make 12 riders ;)

Tour was through DT Travel from Vietnam, organised in conjuction with my friend Mike Gagne from Thailand (Mike Freerider on Youtube) :no_mouth:

How was the test for the driver's licence?

It wasnt really a test, 1st they translate your Thai Lic to a Chinese one, and then maybe a 15min discussion on road safety, which was all in Chinese, lucky we had our Chinese tour guide with us to translate, they had photographs of accidents on a board to show what can happen, interesting the temp Chinese lic is valid for 1 year.

Also after we were issued with the lic we went to lunch, we were not allowed to leave the restaurant (2km away) until the Police gave us the all clear, apparently they do a background check on us, it took approx 2 hours before we got the ok to go

Beautiful and like at home the blue 6 wheeler moving out from a sidestreet on a snails pace not giving a dam about any oncoming traffic 555555. Love this gorge roads. BTW whats the river's name in that gorge ? Lots of rock slides too and a pity you couldn't go further. Thanks for this amazing trip report.
