Realise there’s been various earlier posts on tyres in general, some identifying suppliers/fitters, but hopefully this can become an ongoing thread specifically listing recommended tyre shops throughout Thailand – I do 4k ~ 6k km swings thru the north & east from Phuket and have run into problems finding decent tyre shops away from home base, if others face the same problem it will definitely be of use.
Khon Kaen
Last trip found an excellent place in Khon Kaen – specialises in bike tyres, hold a good stock (eg had both Avon and Pirelli for my R1200GS which uses odd sizes - everywhere else i checked had to order from Bkk), the guy running the place is very very helpful and speaks excellent english:-

Honourable mention, they have a proper tyre changing workshop and stock as good a selection as anywhere in Phuket:-
Prasut Bigbike, Kathu - Prasut Bigbike แหล่งรวมอุปกรณ์แต่งรถสองล้อของไบค์เกอร์ชาวใต้ - รถแต่ง
Anyone who can add to this list – especially for Chiang Mai and the north – would be much appreciated.
