Well, time to post again in this sub-forum.
Despite the ongoing civil war in the country, there are many areas that are still relatively safe, so long as one keeps abreast of the latest news 'on the ground'. I find myself now teaching again in the fair city of Mandalay, and also doing my educational charity work.
I'm keen to ride again in the safe rural regions, such as riding from Mandalay to Inle Lake via Kalaw, because there are a number of orphanages in those regions that I previously supported.
I first need to find a bike! I've emailed Zach, whom I bought my last motorbike from. I think that he's not in Mandalay anymore, but he might know where to find a 125cc/150cc little Honda off-road bike
