Within Thailand not such a problem but not so much " fun " if you try to take a Thai registered bike over the border without a plate regardless of having the greenbook with you. I dont know if Laos or Cambodian officials would be so understandingTonyBKK;283842 wrote: TiT, I think it's kind of fun to ride around with no plate.
Here in Bangkok no one seems to care...
I've crossed borders with guys who had no plates- as long as all the other paperwork is in order no one seems to care... How many guys have lost their plates while riding dirt in Laos and Cambodia and returned to Thailand plateless? Quite a few I think. If it's still a concern there are plenty of shops that can make you a plate.schackster;283865 wrote: Within Thailand not such a problem but not so much " fun " if you try to take a Thai registered bike over the border without a plate regardless of having the greenbook with you.
