500.000 Baht is pretty Close to the New Bonneville Price so I would have thought they would Hold their Re-Sale value a bit better than a Kawasaki ? Plus there is Service and Parts available! Although the Kawasaki is a Beautiful looking Bike is it Worth it?

Wow, it would be great news if they were actually coming here, I had a w650 and miss it badly. I would still hav it but for the fact it had no book. I would trade my er6n in on one in a heartbeat. But for 500 000b I would be looking seriously at a Triumph instead although the kawa still out retros the Triumph IMO. I will be watching with interest. Eddie, please keep us up to date with your purchase!

Spoke to head sales manager at Mityon Kawasaki Pattaya again he says kawasaki have now told all dealers no supply of W800 to Thailand in 2011 as they cannit make enough bikes to supply main markets at the moment. he is not happy as Mityon asked for 20 bikes immediately if they were available he could sell them easily even at 420,000 which is what he reckons the price would be .Apparently Kawasaki thailand want to sell the bike as they also reckon it would be a great seller but its japan who allocate stock.

my mate alf in worthing UK has already sold 28 W800s this year he cant get enough of them .

The W800 is definitely a good-looking bike but you really have to love it to shell out 500,000 THB! (Or have a lot of dosh...)
If you think about it, you'd get a brand-new Versys plus a brand-new D-Tracker for that money, including some hop-up parts for the Tracker.

KZ when it comes it will sell for nearer 400,000 baht , Versys is nice but too tall for me and i dont like the 180 crank setup they use on the ER range prefer a creamy 360 crank but ER6 and Versys are great machines ..but they dont turn me on .

but i have now found out about source of almost low mileage new Jap import triumph Street triples675 at 350,000 with new book 2 already sold in pattaya thats Half price that would be my 1st choice

What I wrote in my last post was plain mathematics, yes, you could get two bikes for the price of one.
But today I saw a W650 in my rear-view mirror, so I slowed down and let it pass, then followed it. Very nice looking bike, the seating position looks comfortable, from behind the exhaust tips look low and close to the center, and the sound is absolutely cool. We just puttered slowly for a while and I realized that this is a bike you can fall in love with, and then it doesn't matter how much it costs, and having a Versys and plus a Tracker wouldn't make you more happy than having this retro-bike!
