Mukdahan Bike Party.
A bunch of riders from Sisaket headed over to Mukdahan last weekend for the annual bike party. We managed to dodge most of the rain and made good time on the excellent roads. In the afternoon there was a Police escorted big bike parade through the streets of Mukdahan and around the surrounding areas, winding under the 2nd friendship Bridge and back to the city.
On Saturday night there was a big party at the Grand Hotel – they’ve move up market a bit – good food and entertainment and all free. The Police escort Officer was the first up to sing Karaoke followed by almost everyone who could grab the microphone and there were some official speeches and gifts. On Sunday morning a couple of us went up the 65M Mukdahan Tower which has a commanding view over the city and up and down the Mekong River.
We then had a pleasant ride back to Ubon for lunch, again managing to dodge the rain and on to Sisaket.
