GT Rider Members,
Hello. I met a forum member today from AUS who suggested I post a question on this forum since many members have experience motorcycling in India.

I will visit India for a month starting July 14th.

Q1: Should I secure a rental online and in advance or wait until I am onsite to check the local market and negotiate. July is a peak seaon for riding the Himalayas.

Q2. Since adv touring models are limited, I would like to rent the new Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle. Is anyone aware of a company in Delhi renting the Himalayan? I have contacted a couple businesses I have learned about via the Web and the model is either not available or is booked.

Q3: I was offered a 2018 Royal Enfield 500 Classic. Are there any known issues or potential areas that fail prematurely? Is 500 usd a reasonable rate in the Delhi market at this time?

Q4: I have 43 years of experience with Honda motorcycles. Should I consider a smaller 'known entity' and rent a Honda or other Japanese motorcycle?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions regarding the above.

Cheers,

David

Furthermore, please reply with any rental companies in Delhi you may have had a positive experience with during your travel and would highly recommend. Thanks in advance!

Hello forum members,

Has anyone rented from a business called RenTrip in India and would you recommend the business?

Also, how can one outside of India verify a business is legitament and not a scam? I almost got scammed by a fake visa website a couple weeks ago.

How can one obtain some assurance an online website or rental vompany is legit? I lookef at reviews, but these could be fake as well.

Thanks in advance!

David
Looking forward to arriving in India July 15th!

" $ 500" for how many days' rental, if I may ask? - Why not ask on a bikers' forum or some biker's channel? There are very friendly guys in India!
