intro.........Msia Thailand Laos Ride...........16/1-21/1
while many of us were told on 14th night that we will be departing for Thailand on 0000 16 th Jan and didnt had a chance to sleep as to prep for this trip..........
most of depart from our various home on the 15th Night at 2300 hours.....overnight ride to Hatyai
upon arrival.....I only realized that....3 of our team will be continuing for another 14 days ....and covering 7000+++km in all
I was thinking .....we were crazy....to ride to Udon .....but these three is MAD....

we got quick acquinted with Hairul Isyraf & Pokpa in no time, they were the gentlemen but full of gossips...as they were only 3 with walkie talkie.....
most of the time...i hear "tengok buntut kau"!!!!!! just to make each other awake
our there buddy joined us to Udon Thani Internation Air & big Bike fest.....

and on the last day in Udon while we was in Red Lotuses sea...I happen to notice a group of easy rider.....came...park next to bikes....I was curious when I heard them speak thai...
being me...I went on and say "sawasdee Khap"...soon discover ...CHarles and friend rode down from Lao...and he own a hotel
soon we became friend and took a brotherhood family pic with all the malaysian biker...
I rememeber Hairul was very anxious....how to get his bikes in to Loa........ta da drop an angel....and i took the contact and quickly passed on to Hairul
and that afternoon, we took an excursion to Loa.....we spent 40% on the total trip getting in and getting across from Nongkai and LOA at friendly bridge...30% tour in vientianne...and remaider 30% on the road
there was a sign which say 'NO BIKES ALLOWED ON THE FRIENDSHIP BRIDGE " ...then ...we use sampan?????that makes us worried....I again ....took hold of Khun Pronthep...assistant...went around the borderofficer and immigration to find our more
everyine seems to give u a different answer.....till I saw a 110cc bike from Bangkok....this must be an overlander....as i cane help but notice their sleeping bag...as it is not Thai nor Lao customery to sleep in one....unlike us....with british influenced...
soon came 2 western and I spoke to them...I asked ...how did u fly across your bike without using the bridge and they explained......
Yes you can ride across...but be prepare in LOA border to spent 2 hours +++ to get clearance..and I ask out of curiousity...how did you ended up on a thai bike to LAO...they explaine they are are from Russia and has been to Malaysia....then move up to Thailand and brought a bike from Bangkok and rode all the way to nongkai and planning to do a 2 months trip in LOA and CAmbodia and back to Thailand via Pattaya...

later we return to Udon Thani to see the Cultural show as special invitees and off we escape half way...there were 40+++ of us...sat infront and eveyone else looking at us....puzzled
we had a Thanksgiving party hosted by His excellency the Gabennor of Udon Thani...
it did seems to be so friendly
the last day came, on the 20 Jan, as I was expecting to return home to see my family & children...sadly we have to say good night....off we part our way
sadly and worried...for 3 of our buddies heading on and up north to LOA.....Thank God for technology, and Hairul habit.....
our whatsapp and FB always get updates of him before, during and after ride report...instantly......
many of times, I am as though a daddy waiting to heart from his sons.....LOL

We are now at vientiane laos, thai border crossing is easy since we have complete documents, as for laos border, its complicated event we have a complete documents, thanks to our thai and laos biker friend that help us .. now staying at a small place owns by our laos biker friend

poor pokpa at versy 1k without heater...he must be freezing said ..hairul
riding at night another 70 km to go to Laung Prabang stop for a while to get heat from hill tribe....at theor camp fire...now as low as 9 degrees
