Another international border crossing between Laos & Thailand has opened – supposedly in October 2024!

On the Laos side it is called
Ban Vang.

There is no Visa on Arrival or eVisa available on the Laos side.
However, foreigners have exited from Laos into Thailand.
The crossing involves using a Mekong ferry to cross from side to side.
