Insurance in Laos - Necessary? Where to Find?

All - My husband and I crossed into Laos about a week ago at Na Meo after 4 months in Vietnam. We're currently in Luang Prabang and each riding 2014 Honda XR 125s. We've been reading and hearing we need bike insurance in Laos (3rd party compulsory)
