At Brendons invitation I met him in Doi Saket for a short run aorund the area. We met arounf 9 am and Liam had said he wanted to come along a bit later.
First a visit to the temle and a magnificent view over Doi Saket, Chiang Mai and Doi Suthep. It appears that this is the time of year to come here for the view.
My bikes ignition key seems to be stuffed and I had great trouble getting it in and you so the petrol stop on the way took longer than it shoudl have done so I missed my breakfast. Called in at a local place for rice and a drink whilst we waited for Liam.
First stop was a wonderful umbrella factory. Seeing the craftspeople ate work and particularly the painters was inspiring.
Then on to the Hot Springs however the entry fee was a bit of an issue and the boys had already been there before. Remembering that I come from New Zealand, boiling mud and volcanoes etc, we chose to give it a miss and moved on.
Liam wanted a longer ride so we parted company at the 118 and BJ and i went to his wifes place of work, the Tao Garden Holistic Spa. We were treated to first class service with the delightful Mrs BJ driving us around the complex in a stretch golf cart. That is some place and well worth the visit.
Finally a visit to the dam at Mau Kuang.
