Sorry to say but the Rak Thai dinner is cancelled for this month, May.

1. The Nai Amphur in MHS has advised no accommodation will be available due to the ongoing covid-19 concern.

I had thought of selecting another destination but...

2. It is is also Visaka Bucha day, the day of Buddha's enlightenment birth and death, and a major Buddhist holiday which means no alcohol. For some that means it could be a non event.

So, let's see how the travel, accommodation and socializing situation develops before we can confidently select new destinations.
In the coming months, it could be wise to stick to main towns or return destinations where we are already known and accepted.

A Rak Thai dinner will be proposed after the wet season, all being well.

Apologies to everyone chaffing at the bit to get out, ride and socialize like we always enjoy on these magic GTR upcountry dinners.

On another note the GTR dinners shirts will be ready for distribution next week the shop advises.
