Hi Marco,

I don't have the 2010 specs but it would appear to be identical to the 2009 ER6f with only minor cosmetic changes. Same engine and frame as the 2009. The specs for the 2009 are available here: http://www.kawasakibigbike.com/productlineup_09.html

No need to test drive- it's identical frame and engine to my ER6n so I know how it will handle. Will be nice to finally have a fairing, ABS and tall windscreen!

A suitable bike for a big guy like you? Well- the old Panzer Wagon seemed to fit you quite well. Did you already sell it?

I think a 650 would look like a toy with you on it  Ever consider a Yamaha FJR1300? NICE bike!

Hmm... is that green looking more "metallic" than the 250 Ninja? Personally, I like the Hulk-green better ;)

Ha ha- Hulk Green! I like that!

The Ninja 650R / ER6f is called "Lime Green" which is a slightly different shade from the usual Kawasaki Racing Green. I'm kinda color blind, so to me it just looks a bit darker... Not sure about 'metallic'...
Not sure if the other color is still Plasma Blue or if perhaps they'll offer Black and / or Red like they do in some other markets.
Happy Trails!

for how much will it sell? Are there any second hand?

Pico
Hi Pico,

Are you asking about the Kawasaki or the Yamaha?

The Kawasaki Ninja 650R ABS is on sale now for 257,000 Thai Baht.

The Yamaha FJR 1300 sells for something like 770,000 Baht. That price may have changed- you can find the updated price on the Yamaha Thailand site.

Happy Trails!

Finally popping my GTR cherry.

On Saturday Phuket Kawasaki didn't know about the name change (ER6f to Ninja 650R) or that it was going to be a 2010 model, but they did confirm the price of 257,000 baht and that they can get it soon. (They said 1 week but we all know what that means.) They also said 10k deposit was all that was required to order. I'm going down tomorrow morning with cash in hand to see if that bit comes true. :)

Hi SB!

Welcome to GT Rider!

The old Ninja 650R didn't have grab handles like the ER6n and ER6f do.

But the 2010 Ninja 650R does come with the grab handles, and on the Lime Green bike they've been powder coated black, and the little plastic piece that goes over the tail light and behind the passenger seat has been painted to match the grab handles.

Hope that makes sense!

Happy Trails,

Thanks Tony. I figure I been lurking long enough. :)

Concerning the bit above the light, I thought that was the same on the 2009 ER6f, no?

I guess the Ninja 650R / ER6f has always been like that.

Funny that they color match that piece on the ER6n but not on the ER6f/Ninja 650R...

Ride On!

Good, I'm not crazy! I couldn't get my head round what your were saying! "How could Tony be wrong?!" I kept thinking.
I didn't know that's how the ER6n was. It all makes perfect sense now.
