Hi Guys,

Well, come November 25th I should be back in CM for about 15 days of riding...

If anyone is doing a ride during that time, please post up... or PM me if you aren't comfortable broadcasting...

Really really looking forward to the trip and catching up with everyone again... I feel like I have been working 100 hours a week for 4 months... and the 10 days with the whole family in Phuket before I get to Chiang Mai aren't going to be too restfull I would arseume...

Hope I can find someone in Chiang Mai up for a beer or 12 and a chat...

Cheers,
Daewoo

I am down south from 13th till 23rd, then start making my way up North... I will post a Thai mobile number up here once I arrive and buy a SIM...

Don't care where I go, just prefer doing it with other riders....

Cheers,
Daewoo

I was actually planning to get away from CM for Bike Week...

Harley's (or their riders in Australia anyway) aren't really my scene...

"My Harley is Unique, because it has really loud pipes and lots of chrome, mind you, I've never riden further than the local cafe"

Am I getting the wrong impression of what CM Bike week would be like???

Cheers,
Daewoo

The wrong impression?, well there will be loads of chrome and many loud pipes and a lot of leather, patches everywhere and more hair than most of us can grow, but not quite covering some of the tatoos, :D ,
but as you observed most of those hang around the bike week site areas, maybe not wishing the chrome to get too dirty, and there will be many of the GTR members and contributors, using the weekend to get together.
Hopefully Ian when back will nominate a day and we can congregate at the X centre, plan a few rides out, and maybe not go to the Bike week site.
So if you want the chance to meet GTR guys from all around Thailand, its not a bad time to do it.

I would suggest a late arvo / evening BBQ at the X-Centre, but let's wait for the return of the Ambassador first before we go treading on the embassy grounds.
Otherwise one evening at the Kafe or even Miguels in Nong Hoi might work??....

Well, so far I have negotiated with The Minister for War, a return to Sydney date of Dec 10th, which means leaving CM about the 8th...

So I will be around and tag along as usual...

Hoping that Captain Slash can escort me to "Pinky's Grill' for one of those Gainormous Burgers from his report some time as well :) .

Cheers,
Daewoo

Well, just arrived home and had to re-read my post already, what a great time...

Can't thank John Gooding enough for taking me under his wing while we were knocking about... so much easier just tagging along with someone who knows where to go and what to do... and despite my lack of pace, he didn't seem to mind cruising at Daewoo speed... I think his trip back to KK without me was about 2 hours quicker, although apparently his lunch stop was completed in record time (at the same place that took 90 mins to do chicken fried rice...)

Thanks to all the guys who made my time so enjoyable again, and sorry to all those I meant to catch up with at various times but didn't... it is hard to squeeze everything into 14 days...

+ the MHS Loop on the ER6N means I clocked up about 2880km in 10 days of riding... can't wait to get back, fingers crossed...

Cheers,
Daewoo

Hi Darryl,
Good to hear you back safe. Always nice to meet the face and mind behind the postings. Enjoyed our riding together and for me it is never about maximum speed and minimum journey time (well almost never).
Its about enjoying the journey and it was good to have your company along the way.
I do hope to see you back over here and would be very happy to share more road and leisure time with you.
Cheers mate. Freaky non drinker John
