Gee Robert what's wrong with just following the massive signs on the highway R1020 .....4th Mekong Friendship Bridge.....coming from Chiang Khong just turn left at the traffic lights where there are huge signs, or if coming from the south just turn right at the same lights with the same huge signs.
Can't miss them.
Maybe this info can help you or someone else in the future:
Open Google map for your area. On both the older classic version and the new version of Google map, select either map or satellite view to find your point of interest. I find the satellite view much easier for me. Once you have found your POI, put your cursor on that spot and right-click. A dialogue box opens. Click on the words "What's here". The coordinates appear in the box in the upper left hand corner of the map. I just did this for the bridge shown on the satellite version of the map and got these numbers- 20.21416,100.4522
If you wish to convert the numbers into another format, go to this website: http://www.earthpoint.us/convert.aspx
Copy and paste the numbers into the latitude and longitude boxes and click on the "calc" button. Look below that button and you will see the numbers in the different formats: Position Type Lat Lon
