Buying a minsk

Greeting folks
Have been looking at this old stallwart of the vietnam hills and would like to know if anyone has any thoughts on buying one. Will i be able to get the thing fixed in thailand ?

About four years ago I used to see a police bike parked at the night market,that looked like the Russian oposed twins that abound in Cuba.I think I remember checking it out and that it came from North Korea.Have not seen another Russian Bike in thailand since.

This old beast is of belorussian origin and supposedly can be bought brand new for 700 dollars

You might look at the Minsk Club - http://www.minskclubvietnam.com/

They are based in Hanoi, but might have some info about Minsk repair in Thailand.
