Ive been meaning to post this closure for the last 2 months.

A huge dry landslide affected this road and work is ongoing to try and stabilise the slip.

Soldiers at the Pa Sak checkpoint (Mae Sai side) will refuse access past their checkpoint, but riding from Pha Mee its possible to ride around the temporary barrier over the slip and plead ignorance when arriving at Pa Sak checkpoint. I see the locals doing this.

Though I do think this will not always be possible depending on slip debris closing the road as its excavated.

Ride like a local around barriers Pha Mee side. Not a good idea if excavator is operating.

Is it still "closed" now or open again for everyone?
I'm confused, but that's not very difficult.
The receding itch is a right pain.

Officially closed to traffic as per road closure placards and barriers placed at both sides of the landslide and also verbal orders given by Thai army at Pa Sak.

However, locals chance it when riding from Pha Mee to Pa Sak direction.
