Ive been meaning to post this closure for the last 2 months.
A huge dry landslide affected this road and work is ongoing to try and stabilise the slip.
Soldiers at the Pa Sak checkpoint (Mae Sai side) will refuse access past their checkpoint, but riding from Pha Hami its possible to ride around the temporary barrier over the slip and plead ignorance when arriving at Pa Sak checkpoint. I see the locals doing this.
Though I do think this will not always be possible depending on slip debris closing the road as its excavated.
Ride like a local around barriers Pha Hami side. Not a good idea if excavator is operating.
