In February they had about 5km left with concrete work.
A few days ago i rode it again to confirm the completion of the work before i update Openstreetmap.
Not a road if you are in a hurry.
Not everyone have the time to wait for the for the concrete work to be done.

I bought a Cooling west about 10 years ago.
It works better with a Goretex jacket zipped up. A mesh jacket will dry out quickly.
No need for cold water, keep a bottle in your pocket on the 'shady' side. :grinning:

As for missing/broken buttons, some electrical tape will sort that out.
Garmin calls the Oregon and Motana a 'Handheld' unit and has the Nuvo routing. Not as good for navigation as the Sumo.
However, numerous maps can be displayed at the same time.
The first Montana lasted about 150k km before the display showed lines across the screen.
The second had the same...
I rode this last time back in 2016. This time i wanted to se for myself after rumours about 'bad road'. There are no bad roads, just roads or no road at all.
I wanted to se if it will be ok on bigger bikes. And yes to that.
Mainly because they have made a new road from Pakbeng and up the hills...
