Can't get photo bucket to work:

tried this one OK but one at a time when you have a couple of hundred isn't going to work, doesn't automatically size them. I get on photo bucket the screen opens the goes blank before I can log in strange stuff. What makes it good is I could upload all 200 at once and the wopuld size correctly,

Is it the pop blocker if so how do you change it on the windows Xpro proram?

You know what can you say about the festival just a lot of people having a lot of fun. I did learn one thing this years, the swords this guys are carrying are sharp. One guy a bit drunk well maybe more then a bit turned walked into me. The sword hit my arm and cut me. So I was among the walking wounded.

Saw David there and had a great conversation ran into the Eagle riders as well great bunch of guys.

One if the guys was asking about what the event was about I was told last year but for the life of me I can;t remember old age I suppose.

Based on the photos Ian posted I know why the Pue Rua Resort was full this year

It would be a great ride from Udon to Nan taking his route about 400 Klms best guess good roads lots of curves and very little traffic

What can I say just a great ride, tune for chapter 2 tomorrow

I thought I could handle the waterfall walk with no problem been walking 8 Klms everyday for excercise, boy was I wrong that was one tough hike. But the falls are just beautiful. Met a group of people from Bangkok who took great joy in taking photos standing by our bikes. All part of the fun in riding meeting new people from all over the world.

Thanks guys this one section coming up now wait until after rainy season.

The road was really excellent in the first section but as you can see they start to change a little at a time.

(I was trying it both ways but I think the clickable thumb nails are the best way to go on these long reports)

We were riding with Alvin and his wife they planned on a few more days on the road. We had to be home that afternoon. It was only another 200 Klms, but we were on a road we didn't knw and after a while you know Klms dont always translate into accurate time estimation. Good thing we went on our own, it was 1730 hours by the time we got home. The wife got a good chuckle out of me missing a gear on a climbing turn nice grassy level place to go so not bad. We had another on the trip that had nothing to do with me making a mistake she got pissed not laughing at all.

This is where things started to get real interesting mind you we are talking about June 28Th here I didn't expect to run into this at all. This was just the beginning at times you were lucky to see 20 feet cows laying in the middle of he road trying to get warm. Hoping cars stayed on there side to the road. Up to this we had wet asphalt but no rain.

Broke out of the fog for a bit, I stopped to really appreciate th4e flora and foona, one must be one with nature from time to time. You will note that back is fully loaded, not as much a Mae Hong Son but a lot weight in any event, with two people up.

Things were not bad yet, the road was either asphalt or red clay with gravel embedded in it so lots of grip

The road had turned to red clay mud and slippery as could be. The top we stopped fro coffee at a little coffee shop nice and clear there, but fog below that we had to ride through. But, this time with wet red clay and a off canter to top things off believe me we are talking slow going 5 to 10 klms at most

This is where things got difficult the road looks flat it's not you were constantly trying to ride into the canter tires just on the edge of slipping. Construction traffic coming at you that at times you couldn't see until they were right in front of you. I was running with all my lights and emergency flashers on.

You know I haven; written a ride report in a long time simply because I hadn't been on ride that I hadn't written on before. This ride was very different the only thing I had done before was the ride to Dan Sai and Bong Bua Lamphu to Udon.

hats the greaqt thing about riding with others we can come up with new ideas and go check out Thailand. This ride was a challenging at time but I wouldnl; cahnge a thing.

The other thing now that I know how to use he GPS I know I can push home and it get me there. he communications system between my wife and I has really made the rides even more enjoyable'

It was great weekend.

Wow Ray!

What an adventure- riding a hog on clay in fog and rain!

Glad you made it back in one piece!

Happy Trails!

Great seeing you guys in Dan Sai again this year. It certainly was a huge turn out this year compared to last year. Massive crowds & not easy on parade day for getting good photos. Still I’ll be there again next year, but make sure I try to get most of my photos the day before the parade.

You've impressed me doing R2331 - the Phu Hin Rongkla road- dirt & mud road in the fog & wet. Well done, that's quite an expedition you've had there.
