hello all,
came back from Laos on my trusty baja last week, after 2 weeks with my monkey friend and then another 4 weeks monkeying solo.
As explained in reply to BobS report, had trouble getting correct documentation (hence the long time) so decided if your going to blag it, you may aswell blag it to the full!
said a lot of prayers before leaving......
just returned through isaan to find 2 people in my apartment, watching t.v. and i had been evicted, due to a communication problem and a thieving land lady.(who was also holding all my possesions, 3 years worth of work etc to ransom!!!)
have just found a new apartment and my friends from England have just arrived in chiang mai, ready to drown my sorrows.
so road and trip report to be posted in the next few days.
off for a drink!

Lets have it - I'm in Luang Prabang now & posted my report so far.
FYI the weather here's bloody cold & even been raining this arvo, & I aint got any waterfproofs with me in Feb!!

Yesterday the locals (Hmong?) shot up the bus just north of Vang Vieng, killing 9 Lao & 2 farang. So the ride down south in a few days time could be interesting. More later....

trip report coming this p.m. not a good time to be coming down rt13 eh?
a bit inconvieniant using one of the best roads in asia and turning it back into a bandit zone!
dont stop for too many photo breaks!

will be interested if rt 13 is passable , through vang vieng at the moment
