Just saw Kawasaki Khon Kaen announce that the 2014 Z1000SX sports-tourer will be available next week for 629,000baht.

 
That would be a pleasant surprise!

I was under the impression that now that they're selling the Thai-manufactured Z800 here that Kawasaki, Thailand has discontinued the sale of the Z1000, and the Z1000SX is just a faired Z1000...

Red Baron just got a couple in and they are really popular down in Malaysia. Would be cool if Kwacka, Thailand sold them too!

It looks like 629K is the price without the panniers- they'll add a bit to the cost if you want them (though no word on them yet).
 
And not a bad price (for Thailand!) so guess the new Z1000 will be priced around the 600k mark, the upgrades like ABS and TC on the 2014 model are a welcome bonus too!

Love the Z1000 but the big turn off for me was that Kawasaki, Thailand didn't offer ABS on the Z1000 sold here even though their floor model does have ABS... :/

For 629K BHT, that is a nice alternative to the FJR considering those are running what, 850,000 now? Never really cared for Kwaka greeen but I must say the color does fit the bike in this case. Sweet! should be a hot seller.
 
Is this the same bike as the U.S. 2014 Ninja 1000 ABS? Kinda looks like it?!

Must say I liked the styling better on the 2013 / 12 two color models - those looked really good. Would have to see it in person to really say that of course, often a different story than the pix. What I already know is that I've never been a fan of the metallic lime green - love the matte lime green (racing green) but I seem to be in a minority with that ;)

Looks like the Z1000 also got hit with the ugly stick... ugh...

I don't think anybody would come up with something this ugly 555

There's more pix with different colors all over the web... looks like that's it, unfortunately.

Just saw a video on facebook, it is the same, looks even more futuristic than the last one. Gonna take a while to get used to it!
