Mut Mee guesthouse is a fun and relaxing place, with character (and sometimes "characters", Marco dixit
). As a « budget » recommendation from Lonely Planet, it has quite a good occupancy. Various prices from dormitory to Bungalow. I paid 680 THB for bungalow.

Location is excellent, 5 mins stroll to the riverside markets and promenade, restaurants and bars etc.

Hotel Khong Damant. Fantastic location just east of the city 1km. Clean, new, large rooms with very nice amenities. Riverside location with a view of Mekhong just outside your balcony. Nice breakfast, great hosts, immaculate grounds, well-built, quiet, with a gazebo on the riverside for card games and beers. Where I was, and what I was doing when taking this photo. Group of four of us only ones there. Just lovely.

Slightly upstream located right on the river front with the bonus of ample parking.
New, spotlessly clean & modern. multiple room prices & selections.
A side entrance down a lane
There is another large entrance from the rear & behind the hospital.

The Pikul Apartment Hotel.
A small quiet, secluded, low key apartment block, just 1.5 blocks back off the river, & walking distance to Macky's Kitchen.
Some limited undercover parking.
Ground floor rooms spacious with lots of table options, a sofa & a sink.
Good Aussie English spoken by ex Thai Aussie resident owners,
Roughly 500 baht a night / 6000 baht a month "fully serviced."

Rooms were good and the breakfast was great.
Bike was parked outside the foyer door, under cover and watch by CCTV, there was security on also. I took everything off the bike, just in case!

An old salesman"s hotel.
Some limited undercover parking, which I was desperate for with an incoming storm forecast.
Basic, medicocre rooms. But clean, good water pressure, bed and whisper quiet aircon.
Convenient location by the Shell petrol station and the aircon Beyond Cafe.

A plug for the Klang Muang still being value for money with the undercover parking.
The room I had for 600 baht
Everything works & very satisfactory, but no lift, you need to walk up the stairs.
