As far as I am aware there will also be an engine number 'imprint' somewhere on file and throwing a different engine in (unless you use the old cases etc.) will give you grief at the DLT guaranteed.rhiekel;298865 wrote: I would like to buy a Honda 250 any model, with a green book.
A CRM 250 would be preferred but another model will do. Am really
looking to just transfer the green book, and then part the bike out.
So a bike with a blown engine would be fine.....
It does, but the DLT doesn't seem to care - as long as the number 'imprints' match you are all good I believe.KZ25;298891 wrote: Doesn't the green book list the number of cylinders?
rideinthai is right, When I went over to Chiang Mai with my CRM 250 in the back of our pickup truck to change the green book in to our name that's exactly what they did a imprint of the frame number and engine number. I did have a moment of worry when he came back out with another guy and they did the engine again ! When I got there I started to take the bike off the pickup but they said no need to they just jumped up in the back and done it in the back of the pickup.rideinthai;298896 wrote: As far as I am aware there will also be an engine number 'imprint' somewhere on file and throwing a different engine in (unless you use the old cases etc.) will give you grief at the DLT guaranteed.
But FWIW - I love the CRM idea in general, and had been looking around for a plated KDX250 myself for a while - saw a few pop up for sub-60k with books, not bad... all things considered.
Are you still looking? I have a 20yr old CRM. Not used it for 5 yrs.rhiekel;298865 wrote: I would like to buy a Honda 250 any model, with a green book.
