Lonely Planet’s new Laos edition was published in February 2014 and is now available in stores, as well as online, as an e-book (pdf, epub).
GT-rider’s website and map are, again, mentioned as providing a “wealth of information” and being the “best all-purpose country map”. Here some quotes from the latest Lonely Planet Laos guide:
p. 310 “Maps: The best all-purpose country map that’s generally available is GT-Rider.com’s Laos, with a scale of 1:1,650,000. It’s available at bookshops in Thailand and at many guesthouses in Laos, as well as online at www.gt-rider.com.”
p. 322 “Car & Motorcycle … Motorcyclist planning to ride through Laos should check out the wealth of information at Golden Triangle Rider (www.gt-rider.com). Doing some sort of motorbike loop out of Vientiane is becoming increasingly popular among travellers.
p.103 “ Udomxai Tourist Office …The office organizes a selection of treks and tours and sells the GT-Rider Laos maps.”
