Energy Ministry: Thailand has 61 days of oil reserves amid Iran war fears
Thailand’s Energy Ministry says the Iran conflict will not trigger an oil shortage, citing 61 days of combined reserves and contingency plans in case the Strait of Hormuz is disrupted.

There was obviously panic buying in the top North this afternoon.
After a Panor brunch I had an empty tank - 2kms left - and needed to fuel up.
Getting fuel was actually a challenge. 1 Gas station had closed - run out, another one had an empty bowser, most others had long queues of vehicles lined up to fuel up.
From what I could see PT & Bangchak gas stations were under pressure.
I got some fuel at a Caltex, but had a 20 minute wait in the queue.
The coming days and weeks could be seriously challenging.

The panic buying depleting fuel stock at multiple gas stations has seen PTT issue a notice to all PTT petrol station NOT to fill fuel containers, but only vehicle fuel tanks.

PTT Station halts fuel sales into jerrycans and drums from March 3
PTT Station has suspended fuel sales into jerrycans and all types of containers, including 200-litre drums, from March 3, 2026, saying the move is aimed at ensuring adequate supply for regular motorists amid heightened monitoring of fuel reserves.
