The police checkpoint at Kiu Sataa, on R1089 the Tha Ton - Mae Chan road, now has a blow up Golden Triangle guide map by GT Rider on display.

I could do with one of those large maps, they look great. Plus some more Golden Triangle and a few Mae Hong Son maps whenever you are passing here next.

May I infer that the Kiu Sataa checkpoint is the name at the once notorious checkpoint south of Mae Salong, back when the road was still new, where David and myself use to have to pay off, with cigarettes and whiskey, that one local law enforcement official who ruled the intersection.
