It is with sadness that I report news of a rider killled in Xam Nua, N-E Laos a few days ago.
The accident happened before I arived in XAm Nua, but according to locals & the police he was an elderly rider of American nationality on a Bangkok registered bike. "A big one like my Africa Twin."
Details are a bit vague, but supposeedly his name was Ronnie Forsee? about 70+ years of age. His female Thai passenger was sent to hospital in Luang Prabang.
Apparently no other vehicles were involved when the rider lost control of his bike & crashed into a powr pole on the outskirts of town.
Thoughts & sympathy go to his family & close friends.
RIP.
You all take care out there now. Ride safe & enjoy, but spare a thought for our fellow departed riders.
