& once I've got my use out of the Versys...the next bike should be
Suzuki V-Strom 650
V-Twin Motor
19 inch front wheel
bigger frame & luggage carrying capacity = better tourer
overall better spec than the Versys
& proven reliable economical performer for long distance touring riders.
I want one!
According to the Suzuki rep I spoke to the Suzuki big bikes will be available in Chiang Mai via Saha Phanich before the end of the year.
The dealership contract has been signed.
Mechanics have to be trained in Bangkok.
The main problem why Suzuki has been slow to get into the big bike market was because they had to take back the Suzuki franchise from the "SV Suzuki family" that had it locked up, but did not want to invest in the big bike market. That court case & franchise has now been resolved.
Thanks for sharing David. Didn't go to the show this year due to no budget to buy something . I have to say that BMW is releasing nice bikes (besides the GS series). Especially the BMW R nineT.

And any sight of Royal Enfield at the exhibition?
