Recieved this Email from my Aussie Teacher
Hi;
Not too sure how much 'Ned Kelly' info is of general knowledge out of Australia, but Ned is the most famous Aussie 'bandit' of the 19th century, maybe equivalent to Jesse James or Billy the Kid's status in the USA.
His most famous act was dying in a hail of lawman's bullets while wearing a self fashioned shield over the top half of his body. He had a kind of Robin Hood image that has stayed with the legend.
The featured moto at the World's Smallest Moto Museum is a recently constructed tribute to Ned, a 3 litre, rotary valved, v twin made entirely in a local's home workshop.
I thought you may enjoy the pictures and a bit of an explanation.
