Australian Motocross Nationals.
I ventured down to the Australian Motocross nationals at Wonthaggi Victoria on Sunday to check out the races, and to also help out with the running of the event.
I hadn’t been to a big race meeting for a while, and I was amazed how professional, and how much money these race teams spend on getting a rider and there bike on the track.
Here is a few photos of the day.
Trick looking Yamaha. Check out the angle of the engine.
Walking through the pit area was amazing. The race teams spared no expensive, with the big teams arriving in transporters that opened up to create there own pit garage.
Great set up for working on bikes one side.
And the view of the other side with hot washers waiting.
#1 This guy was on the gas.
This team Honda truck looked impressive.
Check the plate.
I just love the smell of Two Strokes in the morning.
I had the most important job at the race meeting……looking after the beer tent.

I cant tell you who won any of the races..but I can tell you that by the end of the day we had sold out of beer.
Husky.
I didn’t get to many photos of the races. I can only say that the young fellas are bloody quick these days.
They make the jumps BIG these days.
Cool set up.
All in all a good day at the races, where I leant that race teams now have big trucks, the tracks have even bigger jumps, the riders of today are super fast, and that old racers that stand on the hill watching, can still knock back a hell of lot of beer.
