The 2025 Xayaboury Elephant Festival, marking its 18th celebration, is on from 18 to 24 February 2025.
This year, 50 elephants will participate, symbolizing the 50th anniversary of Lao National Day.
The festival will begin on 18 February with a morning mini-marathon, traditional celebratory rituals, elephant riding, and an evening literary performance.
Grand rehearsals for the elephant parade will take place on 19 and 20 February.
These will showcase the traditions of the eight ethnic groups and performances for the opening ceremony.
